Parrot Sequoia Integration Kit for the DJI Inspire 1 Pro
This integration kit is designed to correctly position the Parrot Sequoia multispectral camera onto the DJI Inspire Pro 1 in order to optimize precision agriculture aerial surveys. The kit includes all the necessary mounting parts, hardware and adhesive pads to mount the camera and Sunshine Sensor. It incorporates silicone damper mounting balls to isolate the camera from the drone body and eliminate vibration. The components are 3D printed.
This kit includes:
- Sequoia mounting plate
- DJI Inspire 1 Pro base plate and clamping plate
- 4 x anti-vibration silicone damping balls
- Sunshine sensor mast
- 3M VHB adhesive pads
- Hardware set - all nuts, bolts and washers
- Zip/Cable ties
Fixing the kit is non-invasive and doesn't require any modification to the Inspire. The antenna mount replaces the vanity cover on the rear of the Inspire and uses the existing fixing bolts.
The antenna mast ensures the sunshine sensor is clear of the propellers and there is no prop shadowing. It is a keyed, removable antenna mast. This ensures it is always oriented in the correct direction when mounted and is easily removable for packing. Make sure there is enough slack in cables.
In order to keep shipping costs down, the kit doesn't include a USB power source, but any suitable supply can be mounting on the back of the antenna mount. Check the Parrot Sequoia manual https://support.micasense.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/207119747/Sequoia_User_Guide_0422.pdf for specs.
The Anker 5000 Power Core https://www.anker.com/products/variant/powercore-5000/A1109011 is recommended. The antenna mount is sculpted to fit this and any flat power supply. It can be easily attached using the supplied zip ties. Make sure when choosing a supply that is properly clears the Inspire propellers in landing and in-flight configurations.
When attaching the parts, make sure not to over-tighten the nuts and bolts or the 3D printed parts may get damaged. Use thread lock
Ensure the wires and cabling is not tight and doesn't impede the camera mounting plate. Also make sure the cables are clear of the propellers and moving parts in landing and flight orientations.
The DJI Inspire 1 Pro, Anker power packs and Parrot Sequoia are not included.
The Sequoia integration kit fits to the Inspire 1 exactly the same way as for the RedEdge show below. The sunshine sensor attaches directly to the antenna mast using a VHB adhesive pad and the Sequoia itself is held in place with a frame and 4 nuts and bolts.
